Godfrey Leaves Box Hill

November 12, 2016

Box Hill Captain Michäel Godfrey will not be re signing for the club in 2017 but has left on great terms with a glowing tribute from President Alex Palmos

"For the past 2 years Box Hill United has had the pleasure of having Micheal Godfrey play for our club, but more importantly captain our senior men and with that show tremendous leadership in and around our proud club.

Micheal has, with a heavy heart, chosen to leave our club and we have respectfully accepted his departure.

Personally I couldn't be prouder of our skipper. His leadership and ability to not only rally the senior boys to play to their best potential, but also involve and embrace our juniors has been much appreciated.

Micheal, on behalf of everyone at Box Hill United SC, we wish you all the best in your future and please take heart that you have helped make our club a better place.

Good luck mate, and no doubt we will cross paths soon."

Godfreys replacement will be announced tomorrow as the club builds its 2017 squad.
