Box Hill United Head of Goalkeeping for the past 4 years, Paul Harvey, has resigned from his position at the club, to make the move up to a National Premier League club in 2018.
In his time at Box Hill his Goalkeepers have won the Men's & Women's NPL2 Goalkeeper of the Year, with nominations in 2 other years, plus two Goalkeepers travelling to play overseas and junior Goalkeepers play for State and Trialling for A league Clubs. It was also quite fitting that this weekend at the Club Presentations, Senior Goalkeeper Keegan Coulter jointly won (with Todd Dekker) the Players Player of the Year for a 2nd year and Under 20's Goalkeeper Taylor Davidson won the Players Player of the Year Awards.
Club President Alex Palmos will be sad to see the Goalkeeper Coach leave the club "The Club and I personally will be sad to see Paul go, but we are not going to stand in his way of moving up to the top league and his new club will get one hell of a goalkeeping coach. He has been really committed to the Club and produced some excellent goalkeepers and we wish him all the best in the future."
Harvey, who is based n Mount Martha, said he was sad to leave the club "This really was a tough decision to move, as I love Box Hill. I've had 4 great years at the club, with great people and an amazing President, but the chance to move up to the NPL and test myself with a new project was in the end too much of a pull. I will always be close to the club and hope they go onto win promotion this year."
The NPL Club that Paul Harvey's has moved to will be announced shortly. Applications for Box Hill United Senior Goalkeeping position to email@example.com
