This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, dedicated and energetic coach to manage the senior men’s team at NPL2 club Box Hill United SC. We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Men’s Head Coach and Senior Assistant Coach to lead our club.
Box Hill United has a long and proud history based out of Wembley Park in Box Hill. It is one of the areas most recognised clubs. Our mission is to provide a progressive environment that enables our players to reach their highest potential. Our aim is to play effective, high tempo, possession-based football that consistently wins us games, achieves success and enhances the strength of our club brand. The journey of our players will be guided by the Box Hill playing style and team model, underpinned by the FFA curriculum of playing a pro-active brand of football, developing effective possession and cutting-edge players able to break down organised opponents. Key defensive principals of quick transition and collective pressure are integral. Our overall aim over time is to develop a Senior Men’s squad around a core of experienced players along with members from its junior development squads.
The successful coaching candidates will be responsible for the coaching and management of the club’s Senior NPL team and is expected to work closely with the Under 20’s Men’s and Under 18’s Youth Teams.
The successful candidates will excel in coaching and leadership, player development, talent identification, administration and a drive for a strong club culture.
The role requires ongoing collaboration with the Club’s management to deliver on agreed key performance indicators related to the ongoing performance, development of players as well as the successful implementation of the club’s philosophy and program.
Provide coaching, leadership and management to the club
Organise, conduct and evaluate NPL2 in and out of season, team training sessions and matches
Contribute to the development of Under 20 and Under 18’s training sessions and programs
Deliver high-level technical and tactical coaching sessions and information
Assist in development and implementation of club player and player identification programs
Deliver coaching and programs in accordance with club’s vision
Actively engage in the recruitment of players and talent identification
Engage with club members from grass roots to seniors
Engage with community stakeholders and leaders
Skills and experience:
FFA ‘A’ License
Proven experience and understanding of high-performance requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience at a similar level with a proven history of developing players into the senior ranks
Strong leadership and people management skills
High-level of verbal, written communication
