The FFA National Futsal Championships was into its third day of action, where Box Hill United youngsters continued to bolster Football Victoria (FV) Futsal squad.

U/12 boys (Pool B)
FV Futsal’s U/12 boys began the day’s proceedings with a 5-5 blockbuster against Capital Football at the Tuggeranong Southern Cross Stadium in Round 4.
Round 5 saw them up against Football SA Blue, which also resulted in a 3-3 draw.
U/13 boys (Pool B)
Victoria brushed aside Capital Football 5-0 in Round 4, with Box Hill boys once more on the scoresheet.
Lucas Green’s double was complemented with strikes from Alexander Di Tommaso, Marc Petheriotis and Hur Ali Doostizadah.
The strong form continued in Round 5, with a 7-1 demolition of Football SA Red. Green bagged a treble, alongside Di Tommaso’s brace.
U/14 boys (Pool A)
Although FV slipped to a 10-4 to Football NSW Metro Thunder in Round 4, they mounted a confidence-boosting 8-5 triumph over FQ Metro at the ANU Sports Centre in the next stage.
Goals for FV arrived courtesy Box Hill youngsters Oli Lavale (1), Ben Chiew (1), Xavier Salisbury (1) and Alex Tektonopoulos (2).
U/13 girls (Pool B)
The U/13 FV girls lost by a slender margin against Football NSW Metro Storm, going down 4-3 in Round 5. Box Hill’s Maddie Campbell was one of the Victorian scorers on the day.
The Round 5 tie against Football NSW Country North resulted in a 6-1 Victorian defeat, with Box Hill’s Aggela Dimos finding the solitary consolation for FV.
The FV players then endured another tough loss against Capital Football in Round 6, after being downed 6-0.
