An exciting opportunity has arisen within the media and communications department at Box Hill United SC, as part of the club’s 2020 season.
Based at Wembley Park, the successful candidate will be playing a key role in developing engaging content for the club’s official website and social media channels, in line with the club’s marketing strategies and objectives.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
# Covering the club’s different age-group teams: men’s, women’s, junior boys, junior girls and MiniRoos, as well as supporting Box Hill United’s sponsors. Initially, the main focus of this role will be the coverage of the MiniRoos and sponsorship promotions.
# Writing news/feature articles and press releases, and conducting interviews with players/coaches.
# Undertaking photography/audio-visual projects as required.
# Working in coordination with other departments within the club to highlight their activities on the club’s digital platforms.
# Keeping the club’s official social media communications up-to-date across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and website.
# Assisting the marketing team as required.
# Excellent standards of written and spoken English.
# Proficiency in using digital media.
# Ability to work within specified deadlines.
# A creative nous to develop relevant content.
# Basic IT skills and understanding of audio-visual editing software.
# General understanding of football.
This role is perfect for a current sports media/marketing student, or a recent graduate, to gain valuable work experience while working within a great team at an ambitious National Premier Leagues (NPL) level football club looking to further engage with their passionate community.
