Although today’s storm forecast to roll through failed to eventuate, it rained goals at Wembley Park as Box Hill United junior boys finished unbeaten in JBNPL Round 8 against Bulleen Lions.

Our U/13s finished a nail-biting fixture with a thrilling 4-4 draw. Thomas Jackson grabbed all four of Box Hill’s goals.
Jackson put Box Hill into a healthy first-half lead with a well-taken treble, before tucking another home from a second-half free kick.
However, Bulleen kept their scoreline ticking, and equalised in stoppage time to share the points.
Although a slightly less eventful affair, Box Hill U/14s came back from 1-0 down to finish with three points in the bank.
Bulleen had pulled ahead early in the first-half. But an inspiring second-period brace from Box Hill captain Marc Petheriotis completed the hosts’ turnaround successfully.
Box Hill U/15s ran out dominant winners via a five-star performance, with Mubashar Ali Doostizadah, Aiden Brown, James Filippa and Luke Vickery (2) getting on the scoresheet. Bulleen could only muster a late consolation.
Today’s win extended Box Hill U/15s’ unbeaten run to four games, building on from before the shutdown.
Box Hill U/16s overcame an early deficit to pile on goals in the second-half in another winning outing.
Following the Lions’ early initiative, Box Hill turned on the style, notching five of their six goals after 50 minutes.
After Luca Laurin’s leveller for Box Hill, Saleem Jalloh made it 2-1 with a powerful chip from 30 metres. It was all Box Hill thereafter, with George Pal’s expertly finished set-piece, and goals from Sehwan Chun, Luka Suric and Felix Dover.
